My name is Jasper Lawson. I am 17, and live on the coast in Australia. I enjoy taking photos of landscapes, as well as portraits, flora and fauna. I've spent hours taking and editing all of my photos and so thought that I would include a watermark on the photographs.

I picked up my first camera at about the age of 10. It was a an old Kodak film camera that we bought at a market for $10. I took alot of pictures using that camera, most of all it taught me to make every photo count. Sometimes when you use a digital camera you take hundreds of photos but never really try to get the perfect one. You start to get quantity, not quality. This website reflects my goal to pursue quality.

For my 15th Birthday I got a Pentax Optio E30, a basic compact digital camera. Even though it wasn't the most expensive camera, it still took great shots. Sometimes people think that the more money something is, that automatically the product will be better. However this isn't always the case, and most often its the photographer, not the equiptment. That  is, a professional photographer could still take a winning photo on a compact digital, and a beginer can still take a bad photo on an DSLR. Some of the best shots I have ever taken was when I used my Pentax.

For my 16th I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D60 with an 18 - 200mm Sigma lens. There isn't much to say about it, apart from it's the best camera I have ever had. Everyday  I learn something new. Apart from my camera and lens, I use Photoshop Elements 6 and a 1c Tripod from ebay. Like with my SLR, I am only starting to realise how much photoshop is capable of.

These are my photos, this is my website. I hope you enjoy it.
